The Union of Students in Ireland says it stands in solidarity with the Teacher's Union of Ireland as the union prepares to strike.
Secondary school teachers will hold a day of action before the general election over the pay and conditions for young workers, which the TUI says is forcing many young teachers into income poverty.
Meanwhile, junior doctors at University Hospital Limerick are to engage in Industrial action over a failure to pay overtime to interns. The IMO says it remains open to negotiations, but action will go ahead if members are not paid.
