The warning will come into effect tomorrow morning
Met Éireann has upgraded its National wind warning to a status orange for 13 counties.
Counties along the west coast and the north east have been given the upgraded warning, ahead of the arrival of Storm Ali on Wednesday.
The counties affected are Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry, with the warning valid from 5am on Wednesday until 1pm the same day.
Meanwhile the rest of the Country remains under a Status Yellow Wind Warning to come into effect from 5am on Wednesday morning morning, until 5pm Wednesday evening.

On their website, the National forecaster said Wednesday will bring ''South to southwest winds veering westerly will increase to mean speeds between 65 and 80 km/h with gusts between 110 and 120 km/h for a time in some areas. Winds strongest along Atlantic Coasts at first and later in the morning extending further east.''
