Don't tell us it's over, we just sorted our Summer wardrobes!

In the wake of the three-week heatwave we've experienced, a lot of us are now convinced that we're just one of those hot Countries now.

However, many people have been calling out for a bit of  rain and some cloudy skies over Ireland...

And those people's wishes have been granted, with the Country set to  experience some slight relief from the heat in the short term.

WhileMet Éireann has forecast scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle in northern parts of the country today.

But it's latest forecast still had some good news for those who aren't quite done with the sunshine yet!

Here's what we're in for:

According to Met Éireann, Tomorrow will see a lot of dry weather on Thursday with just an isolated shower, sunny spells developing and highs of 17 to 19.

While Friday will be warm and fairly sunny, with high's of 20-25, and a few showers across the south of the country during the afternoon.

The weekend will see more dry and warm conditions, with temps staying in the mid twenties generally. However there may be some rain or showers overnight on Sunday.

Looking toward mid-week next week, and there is a chance of some heavier showers breaking out, which would help ease drought conditions. However, temperatures will remain in the high teens or low twenties generally, with plenty of decent sunshine.

So in answer to the question, when is the sunshine coming back... Pretty soon! Is the answer.
