We're in for some severe cold in next week

Snow and sleet is becoming 'increasingly more likely' early next week according to Met Éireann.

The National Forecaster has warned the entire Country to brace for a bitter cold snap this coming Monday and Tuesday.

With accumulations of snow to potentially occur in the North and West of the Nation.

Temperatures will peak between three-six degrees, however The Met said it will feel much colder than that due to an added wind chill effect.

Frost and ice will also be prominent in areas, and drivers are urged to travel with caution.
