A 15-year-old boy has been detained by police
Three teenage students have been shot dead after a pupil open fired at a school in the US state of Michigan.

Eight others - mostly children - have been injured, some of them are critically ill.
A 15-year-old boy's been detained, along with a loaded nine-millimetre pistol which his dad bought a few days ago.
In under five minutes and despite multiple security guards on campus, a 15-year-old with access to a semiautomatic handgun was able to kill a 16-year-old boy and two girls, ages 14 and 17, and wound eight others.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard says the suspect had been practising with the firearm.
