The Dublin to Croatia flight landed at Frankfurt-Hahn airport after experiencing technical difficulties.

33 people have been hospitalised after a Ryanair flight made an emergency landing in Germany overnight.

The plane was on route from Dublin to Zadar in Croatia last night.

Passengers complained of earaches, nausea and headaches after the plane lost air pressure and had to make a controlled landing at Frankfurt Hahn airport.

In a statement Ryanair said a small number of people received medical attention as a precaution, while local reports indicate 33 people were hospitalised.

Those that weren't taken to hospital were reportedly accommodated overnight on an ex-US military base.

The airline apologised to customers who had to spend the night in the airport due to a shortage of available local accommodation.
