Over 40 people were injured in the attack
Police say at least five people have died after a car plowed into a Christmas parade in the US.
Witnesses in Waukesha, Wisconsin say the SUV drove at speed, hitting children's dance teams and marching bands.
So far, 5 are confirmed to have died while more than 40 others are injured.
11 adults and 12 children were taken to hospital.
At this time, we can confirm that 5 people are deceased and over 40 are injured. However, these numbers may change as we collect additional information. Many people have self-transported to area hospitals. The Police Department has the person of interest in custody.

Officers say a "person of interest" is in police custody.
The event was live-streamed on Facebook, and a portion of the video showed a red SUV driving through the parade at what appeared to be a high rate of speed followed by gasps and sirens.
