All 26 counties have been placed on alert.

After parts of Ireland received a battering from Storm Deirdre, it seems the wild conditions aren't leaving us anytime soon.

As of 1pm on Monday (today) Met Éireann implemented a nationwide status yellow wind warning for string winds and gusts of up to 100kmph.

The warning was originally issued on Sunday night and will remain in effect until Tuesday morning.

They also said that winds may exceed these limits in coastal areas.

The depressing weather isn't going anywhere in a hurry.

Let's just hope we get a break on he 25th!
