The “it’s Newbridge or nowhere” campaign appears to have succeeded
The GAA have halted ticket sales for Saturday’s round three All-Ireland football qualifier between Kildare and Mayo at Croke Park, and the game will now go ahead at their home ground St Conleth’s Park in Newbridge, The Irish Times is reporting.

The Times reported that the GAA is expected to release a statement shortly, confirming the 7pm throw-in at St Conleth's Park.
The announcement will end the “it’s Newbridge or nowhere” between Kildare and the GAA.
Kildare GAA were unhappy to be playing the crucial match at the neutral Croke Park, after they were drawn first from the bowl on Monday morning, which entitled them to a home-ground advantage.
However, the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) later deemed 9,020 capacity St Conleth’s Park to be suitable for “health and safety” reasons.
That decision caused a tidal wave of calls for the game to be relocated to Newbridge, which it seems has caused the governing body to back flip on it's decision.
