High's of 30 are expected around Ireland over the coming days
Met Éireann is forecasting temperatures to break the 30-Degree barrier today, as Ireland continues to sweat through the heatwave.
Yesterday saw the highest temperature of the year (28.7) recorded at Shannon Airport and Oak Park, however that is expected to be surpassed today.
Writing on it's website, the National Forcaster said:
''Very warm today with long spells of hazy sunshine throughout the country. Afternoon temperatures will range from 26 to 30 degrees generally,'' it said.
Very warm today with long spells of hazy sunshine throughout the country. Afternoon temperatures will range from 26 to 30 degrees generally but the temperatures will be slightly less near the coast due to onshore breezes, especially along the east and south coast.

And Thursday and Friday aren't set to cool off much either. With the forecast from the Met predicting highs of yet again around the 30-degree mark:
''Another very warm and sunny day on Thursday with highs of 26 to 30 degrees again,'' it wrote.
While for Friday the forecast reads: ''Very warm or hot again on Friday, with sunshine in all areas and afternoon temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees.''
The all time record high temperature in Ireland is 33.1 degrees recorded in Kilkenny back in 1887, there remains a chance we might see that broken in the coming days.
