Images from the scene of Sligo body discovery have begun to emerge

The body was found at around 10am this morning

The first pictures from the scene where gardai discovered a body this morning have begun to emerge.

The discovery was made during the search for missing woman Natalia Karaczyn in Sligo. The body is yet to be formally identified.

Gardai have sealed off an area near Holywell Road and Lough Gill.

Ms Karaczyn, 30, vanished from her home in Crozon Park in Sligo early on Sunday morning.

The mother-of-three is 5'8" in height, of slim build, with green eyes and medium length straight blond hair.

When last seen she was wearing a black lace body suit, black leather trousers, black jacket and black sandals with an open toe.

A 32-year-old man was being detained for questioning in relation to Ms Karaczyn's disappearance, before being released without charge earlier this morning.

A garda spokesperson said: "The male who was detained in connection with the disappearance of Natalia Karaczyn was released without charge early this morning."

However, as of this afternoon, Garda say that they have in fact arrested a 32-year old man.

The individual is currently being held at Ballymote Garda Station.
