Canada's British Columbia hits almost 50C
Canada is enduring a record-breaking heatwave.
Temperatures in a part of British Columbia hit 46.6 degrees Celsius, breaking an 84-year-old record.
Hey climate change deniers, it's currently 50 degrees in Canada.

At least 233 people died in British Columbia between Friday and Monday.
That's almost 100 more than the usual 4-day average.
The very next day, temperatures soared to a staggering 47.9°C, destroying the new record.

According to the BC Coroners Service, "Since the onset of the heat wave late last week, the BC Coroners Service has experienced a significant increase in deaths reported where it is suspected that extreme heat has been contributory."
Chief Coroner Lisa Lapointe added that "Environmental heat exposure can lead to severe or fatal results, particularly in older people, infants and young children and those with chronic illnesses."
