'Such a beautiful boy' - Tributes flow for schoolboy killed in Offaly crash

''We are heartbroken by the loss of two cherished members of our family at the Irish Parachute Club.''

Tributes have begun to flow for seven-year old Kacper Kacprzak, who tragically died in a plane crash, along with the plane's pilot Niall Bowditch, in Co Offaly on Sunday.

Kacper was a pupil at Sacred Heart of Jesus NS in Blanchardstown.

His father, Polish man Krysztof was one of 16-people to have parachuted from the plane before it "torpedoed" to the ground.

Krysztof was a regular at the parachute club, the devastated family live in the Huntstown area of Dublin 15.

The man killed alongside Kacper was Niall Bowditch, from the UK.

It's understood that the family of Mr Bowditch was due to travel from the UK to formally identify his body.

Mystery still surrounds surrounds the cause of the air crash.

On Monday, Air Accident Investigators and emergency services continued their efforts to dig out the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft from bogland near Clonbullogue.

A GoFundMe page has been set up in order to raise money for the devastated families of Kacper and Niall. At the time of writing, well over €18,000 of the €20,000 target had been donated.

A statement on the page reads:

''We are heartbroken by the loss of two cherished members of our family at the Irish Parachute Club, little Kacper, son of our dear friend and fellow skydiver Kris, and Billy, a true gentlemen and a thoughtful and great pilot.

This is a difficult time for us all. I know that our skydiving family and the wider community want to come together and do what we can to support the families affected by this tragic accident.

Having met Kacper at the club I know he was such a beautiful boy who would touch anyone’s heart.''
