Gardaí say they are worried that the centenary of the Rising will be used by dissident republicans to recruit new members.
A sample of weapons seized by Gardaí has been put on display today - it included rocket launchers, explosives and a beer-keg bomb.
Thirty one suspected dissidents were arrested last year, 22 of whom were brought before the Special Criminal Court.
Gardaí say that while there is only a small number of dissidents operating in the Republic, they pose a real threat.
