The Garda's injuries have been described as “non-life threatening”
A Gardai has been taken to hospital, after being stabbed in the upper body in Oranmore Co. Galway earlier this afternoon.
It is understood the incident took place at a property in Oranmore.
Gardaí are currently attending the scene. The garda's injuries have been described as “non-life threatening.”
A suspect has been arrested and is currently being detained at Mill Street Garda Station.
