The prize is set in stone.

As far as raffles go, the upcoming one for Corduff Gaels GAA club in Monaghan has some very decent prizes on offer.

A European weekend break... Two VIP tickets to the All Ireland Football Final... Tickets to see Manchester United play Liverpool... There's even a golden Charolais weanling heifer.

Oh a place two people to rest for all eternity.

Yes, as part of the club's 50th Anniversary Gala Ball this Saturday, one of the main prizes on offer will be a Graveyard plot for two at either Corduff or Raferagh cemeteries - it's up to the winner which one they'd prefer.

We're dead serious.

The night does sound pretty epic, Tyrone hero Peter Canavan and Monaghan star player Conor McManus will make appearances. And all proceeds go to help to pay off the remaining debts from a 2003 'state-of-the-art' upgrade of club facilities.

However, it's the offer of the graveyard plot's that's sparked people's interest.

Corduff's chairman Seamus McEneaney told IrishMirror.ie: "We're a very small community of two churches and two graveyards.

"We've VIP tickets to the All Ireland football final and hurling final, that's box tickets with all day drink and all day food and all that - but this year we felt, it was brought up at a club meeting a fortnight ago, that we needed something unique to the club.

"For us, there is nothing more unique than a plot in our own graveyard when that time comes."

He said: "We went to the local priest and he gave us permission to sell it."

"We were formed in 1968. This is a celebration of our 50th anniversary and it's our final fundraiser, believe it or not, to completely clear the debt and leave this club debt free."
