The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is calling for more donors to come forward as the organisation sees a shortfall in supplies.

The IBTS has enough supplies for about 5 days, a shortfall they say is caused by a falloff in attendance at blood clinics due to the bad weather

Additional blood donation clinics are taking place today Westmeath, Cavan, Tipperary, Kildare and Cork.
