Met Éireann issue weather warnings for 16 counties.
The Irish Meteorological Service have placed a yellow weather warning for 16 counties ahead of Storm Fergus.
Storm Fergus is the second storm to hit the country this week with experts saying it may cause a lot of damage in western regions.
From 1pm this afternoon - Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway and Mayo will have a Yellow warning. That will stay in place until 9pm tonight.
Clare, Galway and Mayo will then be upgraded to a status Orange warning from 3pm until 8pm.
At 6pm, Cavan, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Westmeath and Wicklow will all have a yellow wind warning.
Met Éireann say expect very strong onshore winds coupled with high waves and high tides.
