Customers without power may have to wait until tomorrow until it's restored.
A total of 350-faults around the Country have left 24,000 homes and business without electricity, according to ESB Networks.
"There are deep snow drifts in various parts of the country and so it is taking our crews a very long time to travel to each fault," a statement read.
"It is unlikely that we will be able to restore supply to all customers today as a result of the conditions. Updates and more specific restoration times will be issued later today."
Up to 117,000 homes and businesses were without power during the peak of Storm Emma last night.
That number currently stands at 24,00o.
Those in areas affected by power outages with neighbours who are elderly, have a mental disability or who live alone, are asked to check on their wellbeing.
