Engineering is the foundation of our society! Without Engineers, our civilisation would literally crumble around us.
That’s why it’s only fitting that we take one week a year to celebrate our engineers and the world they’ve helped create.
Engineers Week – an initiative from Engineers Ireland’s STEPS programme - is currently in full swing!
Now in its 12th year, the nationwide event is bigger and better than ever!
With 760-fun interactive, informative and educational events taking place around Ireland, over 74,000 people will be engaging with engineering all week long.
Primary and post-primary students, teachers, parents... everyone is welcome to explore the exciting world of engineering this week! As well as check out the incredible opportunities a career in engineering has to offer.
There’s even going to be over 2,700 screenings of ‘Dream Big: Engineering Our World,’ in schools and libraries nationwide. A movie showcasing engineering’s impressive impact on our world. From the Great Wall of China and the world’s tallest buildings, to future of underwater robots, solar cars and smart sustainable cities.
