Conditions will get a lot worse before they get better
Met Eireann is warning conditions around the Country are set to get worse before they get better - before milder weather arrives on Sunday.
Heavy snowfall will continue across the eastern half of the county for the rest of Today, with high snow accumulations expected due to freezing conditions.
A Status Red warning - the highest weather alert - has been issued for counties Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow and Meath.
Status Orange warnings have been issued for counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Wexford, Offaly, Westmeath Cork, Tipperary and Waterford.

Thursday -
According to Met Eireann, conditions will worsen tomorrow:
Writing on it's website, the Met said, ''Snow showers will continue on Thursday morning, though they may ease for a time. However later in the afternoon and evening blizzard-like conditions will develop across Munster and Leinster, as heavy snow together with strong winds spread northwards.
Daytime temperatures will stay around freezing. Strong easterly winds will reach gale force later in the day on east and south coasts''
While on Thursday evening, we can expect more of the same snow wise and temperatures of around -1 to -4 degrees.
Friday -
Friday will be the day we finally get some relief from the snow, however it will still be another very cold day - with temperatures set to peak around 1 or 2 degrees.
With some Southern Counties reaching 4 to 6 degrees.
Saturday -
At this stage, the Met is saying Saturday will be relativity dry in places.
However ''outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow will affect southern and eastern coastal counties'' may occur during the afternoon/evening.
While we can look forward to balmy highs of 1 to 3 degrees...
Road conditions -
As conditions worsen, motorists are advised to take extra care on the road - due to reduced visibility and icy roads.
Major road closures may become a factor in the coming days, so be sure to follow us at iRadio.ie for updates.
Stay safe and warm out there!
