Nosedive: Ireland's weather prospects plummet over coming days
As if returning to normality isn't hard enough after a long-weekend.
Now it seems the Irish weather has decided it's had enough of that giant gaseous ball of heat in the sky, instead it's opting for a return to wind and rain over the coming days.
After the hottest day in Ireland this year - the mercury reached highs of 22C yesterday in some places - we're set to experience a dramatic drop of around 10C today.
And it just gets worse... Met Eireann says the decline is just going to get worse as the week continues.
By Friday, temperatures will remain in single figures while heavy rain is forecast for much of this week.
Writing on their website, the National Forecaster said: "Wednesday will be a wet day with rain reaching all parts of the province during the morning, persisting through the afternoon and finally clearing for the evening. Blustery during the day with southerly winds becoming westerly as the rain clears. Highs of 10C or 11C.
While ''heavy rain will spread eastwards during Friday morning with the rain persisting across much of the country until evening. Highs of 9 or 10 degrees in southerly winds.''
