It's back to business as usual for Summer
It's time to pull your jumper out from it's hiding place, because we dare say you're going to need it...
Ireland is set to experience a dramatic 10-degree drop in temperature over the coming days as an Atlantic weather front washes away the heatwave and Mediterranean temperatures.
It will be in stark contrast to the UK where a Level 3 or Amber Alert was issued as temperatures soared close to a sizzling 34C.
However, the predicted shift in weather will bring much needed relief from the drought-like conditions in Ireland.
Met Éireann has forecast heavy showers spreading across the Country on Wednesday with next weekend likely to prove almost ten degrees cooler than average temperatures conditions since late June.
The heaviest of the showers is set to arrive on Thursday.
But there is still a little time left before the drop in celsius... Temperatures will remain between 18C and 24C - with inland areas the warmest - until around Friday night, when Met Éireann warns we'll feel a decline from 28C to around 18C.
That's quite a drop!
