Dirty. Thirty.
Well ain't this just not the news you want to hear on a Monday...
A recent survey conducted over in the U.K. by YouGov, has found that Thirty is the age we all officially begin to be considered 'old.'
Thirty! How very grim indeed...
YouGov summed up it's findings by saying: "Once a person has reached the age of 30, the majority of Brits no longer consider them to be young."
Seems a little harsh right?
There's been no such survey carried out here in Ireland... but you'd think we'd push that number back AT LEAST another five-years, just because we're sound like that.
Now while pretty much everyone in their thirties (and probably forties) would bristle at being described as "middle aged," there has in fact been a few studies that suggest middle age begins in your mid-thirties.
However! We checked, and the oxford directory clearly states a middle age is between 45 and 65. So... yeah, take that YouGov report.
Do you agree with the Brits on this one? Or are you a firm believer in the old adaptation, 'life begins at Thirty?'
