A yellow weather warning has been issued for heavy showers and thunder this afternoon.
It's been issued for counties Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan and Clare as well as all of Connacht and some counties in Ulster.
Heavy downpours could lead to spot flooding in places, and along with thunder and lightening some parts may also experience hail.
Siobhán Ryan from Met Éireann says the bad weather is moving up from the East.
She said: "We are in for another blast of scattered thunderstorms.
"Really this afternoon and evening, it's the west and north west that would be in line for some of the thundery downpours."
The warning is valid from 1pm today to 8pm tonight.
