More than half of workers surveyed feel that leadership in the workplace is out of touch, and 45 per cent feel burned out.
The Microsoft Ireland survey found that a lack of confidence in leadership, well-being challenges, lack of professional recognition and work-life balance were the top drivers behind why workers changed roles in the last 12 months.
However 77 per cent highlighted they are happy at work, while 66 per cent feel they have the right work-life balance.
General Manager of Microsoft Ireland, Anne Sheehan said the research aims to highlight issues which can be addressed to improve employees lives:
"This research provides insights to leaders to understand employees and their pressure points so they can improve engagement and address productivity challenges and introduce the technology that will make people's working lives better."
