Investigations are underway following a fatal road traffic collision involving a Garda car and a pedestrian in Donegal last night. At approximately 3.15am, a 21-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a Garda patrol car at Ludden, Buncrana, Co. Donegal.
Her body remains at scene, and no other persons were injured during the collision.
The scene and road remains closed for a technical examination, and local diversions are in place.
As per protocol, this road traffic collision has been referred under Section 102 of the Garda Síochána Act, 2005 to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission.
