Showers could turn wintry later in some areas according to Met Éireann.
A Status Yellow Snow/Ice warning remains in place for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal as well as most counties in Leinster.
It will remain in place until 6 O'Clock this evening.
The national forecaster has also issued a Status Yellow Snow/Ice Warning for Donegal tonight.
It's valid from 6 this evening until 10 tomorrow morning.

Met Éireann have warned that rainfall could turn to sleet or snow in parts of Ulster later.
The wintry conditions have been evident all day in some areas, with falls of sleet or snow in some parts today.
AA Roadwatch Editor, Elaine O'Sullivan, stressed the importance to plan ahead if you're travelling later.
She also pinpointed some of the areas affected by sleet and snow today.
"So far today, conditions appear to be quite wet. We do have reports of sleet and snow on routes around Roscommon Town."
She added, "we did have earlier reports of sleet around Tullamore in Co Offaly and Longford Town."
The Irish Coast Guard has also warned people to stay away from coastal areas due to today's weather conditions.
