A woman in her 80s and a man in his 20s were killed in seperate road crashes in Donegal and Cork yesterday.
Gardai in Donegal were called to the scene of a single vehicle crash on the N56 near Falcarragh at around 1:30pm yesterday.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a woman in her 80s, was taken to hospital where she later passed away.
Separately, Gardai in Cork attended the scene of a collision between a van and a motorbike near White's Cross shortly before 6pm.
There, a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene with no other injuries reported.
Forensic Collision Investigators attended both scenes to carry out inquiries and Gardai are appealing for witnesses in both cases to come forward.
