South Dublin has been left in a state of shock, after two 18 year olds from the same school. died while on a 6th year holiday in Greece.
Andrew O'Donnell and Max Wall were both students at St.Michael's College in Ballsbridge, and had just completed their Leaving Cert.
The teenagers were holidaying on the Greek island of Ios and police there are investigating the two incidents separately.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it's offering consular assistance, while St.Michael's College says staff are available to assist any students who need support.
Social Affairs Correspondent with the Irish Times Kitty Holland outlines the details known to date.
'Andrew's body was found yesterday morning. He had been reported missing by a friend after they had been out socialising and it appears his body had shown signs of having fallen and then Max Wall's body was found yesterday afternoon and he had been found unconscious by a member of the public or perhaps a member of his party or friends and he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.'
