More than six in ten people want the TV licence to be scrapped.
RTÉ have been battling dropping numbers in licence renewals since the payments scandal at the broadcaster erupted.
A survey from Taxback found one in five people say they don't see a need for public service broadcasting at all.
Labour leader Ivana Bacik does see a need for it, but says there has to be a way to make it work for everyone:

"We've called for a consideration of the Finnish model - where the national public service broadcaster is funded through taxation, through a ring-fenced tax."
"That's the sort of measure that should be looked at instead."
