Passengers travelling with TUI Ireland were forced to sleep on camp beds in a German airport last night while travelling from Corfu to Dublin.
Flight TOM1517 departed four hours later than scheduled due to operational reasons.
When they boarded the plane, passengers were told the plane that it would have to stop off in Munich, Germany.
But instead, it was diverted to Nuremberg Airport due to a thunderstorm.
One passenger, Niamh Gormally said they were "provided with one glass of water, but there was no food to buy on board".
Niamh also revealed that there were babies, young children and elderly people on the plane, which was warm and uncomfortable.
According to RTÉ News passengers were left on board the aircraft on the ground in Nuremberg for around three hours.
Those travelling with TUI Ireland were told the stop would 0nly add an extra 30 minutes.
However, the passenger were told they would not be continuing their journey last and would be offered hotel accommodation.
This in fact did not happen.

@LaurynNiRiain believed there were approx 180 people on board.
With no TUI representative to be seen in the airport, Lauryn said she "felt totally abandoned with no information" and she said some people were crying.
This is not the only incident to happen with TUI passengers this weekend.
Another set of passengers were stranded in Dublin airport this morning.
They were due to board a flight to Palma at 6am this morning - but when they got to their gate they were told to leave.
TUI cannot be reached - and their passengers are still waiting to hear if they can join another flight this evening.
