A woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a toddler in Cork.
The 2 year old girl was found in a critical condition in an apartment at the Elderwood Complex on the Boreenmanna Road just before 5.30am on Friday
She later died in hospital later that morning
A murder investigation was launched on Saturday following the results of a post mortem examination.
A woman in her 30s was arrested this morning in connection with the toddler's death.
She is currently detained at Gurranabraher Garda Station
