Although temperatures will still stay quite high
Thundery showers are on the cards over the coming days as the dry spell makes its exit.
Temperatures could hit highs of 24 degrees today, with a few showers expected later.
It's staying dry for many but scattered showers will slowly develop across the west and midlands in particular, potentially turning heavy later this evening.
Met Eireann also says, it'll be quite humid with highs of 20 to 24 degrees.
Tonight will be misty with isolated heavy showers lingering early on.
Staying warm into the late hours with lowest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather has the outlook over the coming days:
"Well the coming week is going to see some very warm weather with temperatures getting to 27 degrees possibly, but those showers will continue also right from the early days in the week and into the middle of the week at least.
He continued, "with a risk of showers most days and some of them could be quite thundery, especially in the afternoon. But very hit and mist and very hard to forecast where they'll hit,"
