Three people have been killed and a fourth seriously hurt in the gun attack at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas.
Officers said the suspect was also found dead at the scene.
Sheriff Kevin McMahill from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says officers on and off-duty were quick to respond.
'There was a gathering just outside of the building where the students were playing games and eating food and if it hadn't been for the heroic actions of one of the Police officers who responded, there could have been countless additional lives taken.'
