The HSE is currently testing the samples
The HSE has said 97 samples of drugs were surrendered during last weekends life festival.
Cocaine, Ketamine and MDMA were just some of the drugs handed over during the 3 day event in Co.Westmeath.
The Safer Nightlife programme was launched last month ahead of gigs throughout the country.
The HSE is currently testing the samples.
The testing initiative follows a pilot last year at Electric Picnic.
It allows festival goers to anonymously submit substances to a “surrender bin” in a designated tent operated by the HSE.
The HSE said today that of the samples tested, 42 were MDMA, 21 were ketamine, 17 were cocaine and nine were benzocaine.
HSE risk communications were published on social media following the drugs analysis.
HSE concern over cocaine circulating at @LifeFestival. Higher strength cocaine causing aggression with mental and physical health problems.
It's always safer not to use. Remember HSE advice, start very low, go slow and avoid mixing. pic.twitter.com/RmLb0gawpv
