A wildfire in Tenerife's north has spread over 30 kilometres, prompting the evacuation of nearly 8,000 people.
Hundreds of firefighters and soldiers are working to control the blaze in the island's northern region which has has already burned over 6 thousand acres of land.
No official advice has been given to Irish holidaymakers planning on visiting the holiday destination.
Editor of Air and Travel Magazine Eoin Corry says the first point of contact is the travel agent:
"There is though this concern that passengers and holidaymakers will have as to when they can decide to cancel their holiday."
