A post mortem will be carried out today on the body of a young man who died in a jetski accident in Co. Clare.
(Source: RNLI/Bundoran Lifeboat)The body of the 19 year old was recovered from the water of Lough Derg close to the bridge at Killaloe last night.
Two girls were also on the jetski when it flipped over, however they were wearing life jackets and managed to make it to shore with the help of bystanders.
Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council Tony O'Brien says the tragedy has caused shock in the area.
'A young man lost his life in tragic circumstances and I suppose it reinforces people when they are coming out and going on the water that they have all the proper safety equipment and adhere to all the bylaws for their own safety.'
