Many are returning to offices from next month.
A Fianna Fáil TD says those returning to office work is a 'missed opportunity'.
Paul McAuliffe believes remote working leads to less traffic on the roads and is better for the environment.
He's calling on the Government to let thousands of public servants stay working from home.
"Of course there'll be employments where it's not (possible)," he said.

Deputy McAuliffe says employers who can, should allow people continue to work remotely.
"It will really change peoples lives," he added.
"Allow them to work and live in their local villages and urban villages in the city."
Many workplaces are returning to in-person work as vaccination numbers are high.
