A strong warning for students from Gardaí.
Young people are being told they could face up to 14 years in jail if they agree to become "money mules".
Gardaí are investigating a 2,000,000 euro money laundering scheme where 200 people were recruited by criminals.
Transactions of up to 35,000 euro at a time were being made.
Detective Inspector Catriona Gunne says a lot of cash-strapped students who are trying to get themselves through college are being targeted, as they see it as an easy way of making money.
She says young people need to be vigilant, they should never disclose their personal bank data and they should never send or receive money on anyone else's behalf.
