ESB crews have been mobilised to restore power as quickly as possible
Many people are waking up to damage and no power due to overnight damage from Storm Bettie.
Met Éireann issued an Orange warning in Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary, Waterford where people are reporting flooding and fallen trees this morning.
Over 12-thousand houses are without power this morning across the South East.
The ESB says the east and south-east of the country, along with Dublin are the most affected areas, and crews have been mobilised to restore power as quickly as possible.
The majority of outages are expected to be restored by 4pm, with some houses being out of power since 7 o'clock last night.
Videos of flooding have been put on social media from Cork, showing the main street of Carrigaline flooded.

A yellow rainfall alert remains in effect in Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim until 11am.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather has the outlook for today:
"An improving situation with rain the northwest clearing this morning, with many other areas wakening to bright spells. Some sunny spells throughout the country this afternoon with just the odd shower. Winds will ease slowly this morning, still a very breezy day."
