The Special Olympics are being held in Berlin.
Irish athletes have descended on Berlin for a tilt at glory at the Special Olympics.
The games will be the largest sporting and humanitarian event in the world this year.
Every two years, the Special Olympics hosts athletes with intellectual disabilities that compete across 26 summer sports.
The sports include athletics, bowling and table tennis.
Special Olympics Ireland was formed in 1978, and the team has won several titles - including 86 medals at the 2019 Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi.
73 athletes are competing for Team Ireland between June 17th and June 25th in 12 sports.
Thomas Turley's daughter Margaret is playing basketball in the Special Olympics.
