What an emotional beginning to our brother Shane’s final journey this morning. Thinking of @Victoriamary and all his family and close friends today. There will never be another like him. 😞❤️ #ShaneMacGowan #TheMeasureOfMyDreams pic.twitter.com/RtdpYJeH55

The Pogues frontman died last week at the age of 65.
The Irish star had suffered from several health issues in recent years and had been receiving care in St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin for an infection earlier this month.
Born on Christmas Day in 1957 he will always be remembered with one of the most popular Christmas songs in history.
Fairytale of New York will be performed at the service by Glen Hansard and Liam O'Neill.
