A young Offaly boy remains in a serious condition after he was hit by a car earlier this week, reports the Offaly Independent.
The boy, whose age is not yet known, was knocked off his bike at around 1pm on Tuesday in Killurin, on the Gurteen Road near Killeigh, Co. Offaly.
He was taken to Tullamore Hospital, but was then transferred to Dublin.
Gardai in Tullamore said the boy was in Temple Street Children's Hospital, and his condition remained serious, according to the independent.
The road was closed for forensic examinations in the aftermath of the incident.
