15 year old Nora Quoirin went missing on Sunday

Scuba divers have been deployed to search a river in Malaysia for a missing Irish teenager.

15 year old Nora Quoirin went missing from the Dusan resort on Sunday.

Her family believe she has been abducted and say she is "not capable of taking care of herself."

Malaysian police are reportedly also analysing fingerprints found in a cottage as part of the search for the Irish teenager. The search for Nora is now into its fourth day with police not ruling out a possible "criminal element."

The teenager, who has special needs, went missing from the Dusan resort - about 63km south of the Malayian capital Kuala Lumpur. She's the daughter of an Irish/French couple who have lived in London for the last 20 years.

Yesterday, Royal Malaysian Police said they "intensified" their search, but hadn't found any evidence of criminality. However, it's reported today that they are analysing fingerprints found in a forest resort cottage where Nora was reported missing.

The deputy chief of police declined to give further details on the investigation.

The search involving more than 200 people is now focussing on riverbeds near the resort, after it was extended into dense jungle yesterday afternoon.
