RSA says festival goers need to be aware of when it's safe to drive after drinking alcohol.
The Road Safety Authority is running a campaign on social media this weekend.
The RSA is using TikTok and Instagram to reach young drivers heading home after Electric Picnic.
The three-day event, which has attracted 70 thousand fans, wraps up in Stradbally in Co.Laois tonight
If convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, people can face automatic fines and be disqualified from driving.
Alex Ainsworth from Drink Aware has this advice for people leaving the picnic:
'Electric picnic have extended their car parking ares and its open until 4pm on Monday.'
'So that will give you some more time if you need to catch up on sleep, if you need to make sure that alcohol is out of your body, you have some time to do that.'
'Drink Aware wants every single one of those seventy thousand people to return home safely.'
Alex is also urging people to avail of the Drink Aware drinks calculator, to ensure people are not getting behind the wheel with alcohol in their system:
'We're urging festival goers when their coming home after electric picnic, they can use the Drink Aware drinks calculator.'
'Its a free tool, its really important that their tracking what they're drinking.'
