A woman in her sixties has been killed after she was knocked down by a car in Co. Roscommon.
The tragic incident happened at around eight o'clock last night at Kilmaryal in Elphin.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the vehicle - a man in his 50s - was not injured.
The road remains closed this morning and local diversions are in place.
