R Kelly has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for using his fame to sexually abuse young fans.
Victims of the R&B singer, R Kelly, say they're "grateful" he's been given a 30-year jail sentence.
He trafficked women and underage girls between American states over three decades with the help of his entourage.
He was convicted of nine charges, including transporting women between states for prostitution.
The judge at a court in New York said his actions showed his "indifference to human suffering".
The US singer came face to face with some of his victims as they confronted him in court.
One of his victims, Lizette Martinez was 17 when she met R Kelly.
Lizette gave an account of her experience with the R&B singer:
"I was an up and coming singer. I was a girl full of life. Very innocent but very driven...preyed upon basically at the mall and promised basically a mentorship and quickly turned into I would say a sex slave."
Dressed in a black face mask and grey prison-issue uniform, the 55-year-old looked straight ahead as the emotional statements were read out.
One of his victims, Jovante Cunningham, first met Kelly when she was 14 and was one of his backing dancers.
She gave her reaction outside the court:
"Now we have justice in our judicial system. I stand here very proud of my judicial system, very proud of my fellow survivors and very pleased with the outcome."
His defence lawyer Jennifer Bonjean is hopeful his conviction will be overturned on appeal.
And here's why:
"All I can tell you is there was no enterprise...it was one man with allegations by a number of women which doesn't make it an enterprise. And that is why he is not guilty of racketeering."
