One small step for marriages, one giant leap for indoor dining.

Irish Restaurant Minister

A restaurant owner in Co. Kerry is attempting a roundabout way of welcoming guests to his establishment.

Paul Treyvayd, the owner of Treyvaud's in Killarney, has recently ordained himself as a priest in an attempt to host indoor dining.

The owner claims he's open to those who didn't get to celebrate a wedding properly under Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions.

He insists that he will keep numbers below 30, and that it isn't breaking current Covid-19 restrictions.

In a video posted on his Twitter account, Paul says he had a "divine inspiration" and has "gone through all the statutory instruments and legislation" to make it happen.

Treyvaud has ordained himself with the Christian Global Outreach Ministries and has a certificate of proof.

Signing off on his video, he says "by the powers vested in me, I would like to pronounce Treyvaud's restaurant open indoors."
