The Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee intended to compel Ryan Tubridy and his agent Noel Kelly to appear before it, if they had not done so voluntarily - according to its chairperson.
The committee has sent a detailed list of questions it wants answered by both individuals when they appear before it early next week.
Listed among the seven areas is payments to presenters and personnel at RTÉ.
Details of Ryan Tubridy's contractual relationships with the national broadcaster will also be sought.
Chair of the Committee, Sinn Féin's Brian Stanley said PAC wants to hear precise details around payments from 2017 onwards.
Tubridy and agent Noel Kelly will go before two Oireachtas committees according to RTE. First going before the Dáil Public Accounts Committee (PAC) at 11.30am on Tuesday and ater that day, at 3pm, they will appear before the Oireachtas Media Committee for three hours.
